Prince George's County Democratic Central Committee

Congratulations to Our
Primary Election Winners

Onward to November

June 24, 2026

The Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee congratulates all Prince George’s County Democrats who were victorious in last night’s election. We celebrate your hard work, your commitment to public service, and your willingness to step forward and lead at a time when strong Democratic leadership is needed more than ever.

We also extend our gratitude to every candidate who entered the race and gave their time, energy, and heart to this election. Running for office is an act of service, and we commend those who stepped up to make their case to voters and engage in the democratic process. While not every campaign ended in victory, every candidate helped strengthen our democracy by participating, organizing, and giving voters a choice. We encourage those candidates to remain involved, stay engaged, and continue contributing to the work of building a stronger Prince George’s County.

Now, our focus turns to November.

The stakes could not be higher. From the local level to the national stage, Democrats must remain united and organized in defense of our values, our communities, and our democracy. Prince George’s County has long been a driving force in Democratic politics in Maryland, and we have a responsibility to continue that leadership in the months ahead.

Between now and Election Day, we will continue the work of organizing, mobilizing, and engaging voters across our county. We will continue fighting for opportunity, fairness, equity, and justice for all Prince George’s County residents. And we will continue standing firmly against extremism, division, and attacks on our democratic institutions.

The road to November starts now. Together, we will work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot, protect the progress we have made, and ensure that Prince George’s County remains a strong voice for Democratic values in Maryland and across this country.

Onward to November.

Impacts of the Trump Government Shutdown

In Two Days, Nutrition Assistance Funding Lapses for the First Time in History

Trump and Republicans’ government shutdown is beginning to have life and death consequences: in two days, health care costs will rise as millions lose access to nutrition assistance. But Trump refuses to intervene to save health care and SNAP.

On November 1, 42 million Americans are about to lose access to SNAP — the first time funding has lapsed in the program’s history.

6.7 million women and children who participate in the Women, Infants and Children nutrition program (WIC) could also go hungry just as temperatures begin to drop.

To be clear: Donald Trump has the power to keep millions of American families from starving — but he just doesn’t care.

The Trump administration currently holds about $5.5 billion in the SNAP contingency fund, Trump just refuses to use it.

Here is a table of SNAP recipient households by MD Congressional District (see the attached document for a nationwide breakdown):
