Passing of Civil Rights Icon Jesse Jackson

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of civil rights icon Jesse Jackson. A tireless advocate for justice and equality, Reverend Jackson dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of the marginalized and voiceless. His passion ignited change and inspired countless individuals to join the struggle for civil rights.

As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate his legacy—a legacy that reminds us of the power of hope, resilience, and the unwavering belief that every voice matters. Jesse Jackson taught us that the fight for equality is never over, and it is our duty to continue his work.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May we honor his memory by committing ourselves anew to the principles he championed and the vision he fought for. Rest in peace, Reverend Jackson. Your impact will be felt for generations to come. #JesseJackson #CivilRights #LegacyOfChange #PrinceGeorgesCountyDems

One County, One Voice, One Future

On January 8, 2026, the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee brought leaders, neighbors, and community advocates together at Manor en Noire for an evening centered on unity and purpose. Under the theme “One County, One Voice, One Future,” members gathered to reaffirm the values that guide our work: strengthening civic engagement, expanding community representation, and championing the needs of Districts across our county.

This event showcased what makes PGCDCC essential to Prince George’s County — committed leadership, intentional collaboration, and a shared belief that our collective voice can drive meaningful change. Photos from the evening highlight the energy and commitment that continue to push our county forward.
